Abstract
ABOUT three years ago; in NATURE (November 5, 1891), I gave an account, rescued from an American periodical, of the botanical results, slender enough it is true, but not without interest, of the Emin Relief Expedition, as described by Major Jephson. The most important feature was undoubtedly the small collection brought away “for Emin Pasha to classify” by Lieut. Stairs from “a high altitude on the slopes of Ruwenzori, or the Mountains of the Moon.”
