Abstract
IN general terms the mineral production and I metallurgical activities of the British Empire are already known; but no one has measured a base-line with sufficient precision for projecting with confidence the probable effects of further prospecting and future exploitation, coincident with the growth of metallurgical science, not only on the Empire as a whole, but also on each independent unit of Imperial territory.
