Abstract

THE spermatozoa of ticks are provided with a peculiar ‘plasmal-rod’ or spermatophore which has long been a puzzle to cytologists, but the careful work of Nordenskiold (1920) on Ixodes ricinus Linn, threw considerable light on the subject.
