Crossing-Over of Sex Factors in Lebistes

Abstract

WHILE the validity of the sex-chromosome mechanism in relation to sex determination is generally recognised, yet it has become clear from the work of Goldschmidt on Lymantria, Winge on Lebistes, and various other investigations in which intersexes and the crossing-over of sex factors occur, that genes influencing the sex towards maleness or femaleness are also found in the autosomes.
