Abstract
THIS volume presents an interesting view of the progress made in certain branches of pure and applied chemistry in the United States during 1935. The fact, however, that it deals only with the work of one nation, limits its usefulness as a guide to the advancement made in any particular subject, and leads perhaps to a somewhat distorted view. Nevertheless, it provides an excellent resume of the activities of American chemists, and moreover supplies a comprehensive bibliography of their work.
