Abstract
IN calculating the chances of air raids being carried out against Great Britain, Prof. Kendall thinks that Germany is the only nation that need be seriously considered, and it is on her policy that everything really depends. In his opinion, it is unlikely that there will be another war with that country in this generation, so that German air raids constitute, in the present state of Europe, nothing but an empty threat; but if they should come, and gas is used, it would be ineffective provided that adequate preparations are made and reasonable precautions are taken against it.
