The Cell and Protoplasm

Abstract

SYMPOSIUM AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY THE Symposium on the “Cell and Protoplasm”, which was convened at Stanford University, California, during June 30-July 5, began on the last evening of sessions of the Pacific Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and closed on the day of registration for the Sixteenth National Colloid Symposium. This time relation would partly account for the large attendance at the Cell Symposium, which increased with each session to an audience of about seven hundred at the closing lecture on “Structural Units” by Prof. J. D. Bernal, of the University of London.
