Abstract
IN recent publications, Mottram and Doniaeh1,2,3,4 reported that many carcinogenic hydrocarbons have a photodynamic effect upon Paramecia and upon the skin of mice. These hydrocarbons under the same experimental conditions did not cause photodynamic haemolysis of erythrocytes.
