Population Problems in India

Abstract

THE second Indian Population Congress was held at Bombay in 1938 and its results are now published in a large volume*. Practically every aspect of the population problem is examined, with special reference to India. The numerous papers, many of them by men and women of high attainment and expert knowledge, show an increasing interest in what is probably India's greatest problem.
