Abstract
THE report of the Fuel Research Board for the year ending March 31, 1939, has recently appeared*, As this date was passed more than one and a half years ago the contents have lost their freshness. They reveal the measure of activity of national research on fuel problems before the outbreak of war and allow the reader to judge of the use made of the results.
