THEORETICAL PHYSICS IN THE U. S. S. R. DURING THE PAST TWENTY-FIVE YEARS

Abstract

THE advances of physics have been especially significant during the last quarter of a century ; modern theoretical physics, in particular, is a child of this period. Our concern, in this article, is mostly quantum mechanics of recent times. The papers of 1932-38 mentioned in this article have been published in the Physikalische Zeitschrift der Sowjetunion, and the papers dating 1933-34 in the Journal of Physics (issued by the Academy of Sciences of the U. S. S. R.).
