Some Czechoslovak Contributions to Genetics (1866–1938)

Abstract

ALTHOUGH the breeding and crossing of plants and animals has been in vogue for a long time, the scientific control and study of the processes belong to the twentieth century ; even Mendel's early pioneer work was not appreciated for almost half a century.
