Abstract
FOR the mornings of November 9 and 10 of the Röntgen Celebrations, the Institute of Physics arranged two sessions held at the Royal Institution and devoted to a series of short papers on progress and prospects in X-ray structure analysis. J. M. Robertson and Dorothy Crowfoot (Mrs. Hodgkin) spoke on organic crystals, and W. T. Astbury on fibre structures ; and since their remarks link up together, it is convenient to summarize them in the order just given.
