Abstract
THE recognition of at least three good species of Patella the south of England by Fischer-Piette in 19351, with confirmation of two of these in a searching ecological study by Eslick 19402 at Port St. Mary, Isle of Man, renders all special observations on Patella vulgata prior to Fischer-Piette's work subject to revision.
