Abstract

ON September 7 there was celebrated the two hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Zurich Society of Natural Sciences. The Swiss Society of Natural Sciences hold its 126th annual meeting at the same time, and the attendance of delegates from scientific societies in some thirty other countries conferred upon the Congress an international significance.
