Abstract
DURING the past summer, an opportunity was taken to visit the principal laboratories in the United States and Canada which are engaged in low-temperature research, with the exception of the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, the laboratory directed by Giauque at Berkeley and that planned by Long at Chicago.
