Spectral Sensitivity of Lead Telluride Layers

Abstract

MICROCRYSTALLINE layers of lead telluride can be made which show photo-conductivity when illuminated with infra-red radiation. Such layers are similar to the better-known lead sulphide and lead selenide layers, and it has been generally assumed that the sensitivity of lead telluride would extend to longer wave-lengths.
