Proposed Central Publication of Scientific Papers

Abstract

IN June of this year a Scientific Information Conference is being called by the Royal Society of London, to be attended by representatives of the countries of the British Commonwealth and of the United States¹. A number of societies which publish scientific journals have already been invited to the Conference, and preliminary drafts of schemes to be discussed have been circulated. Among these is the draft of a provisional scheme for "Central Distribution of Scientific Publications" put forward by Prof. J. D. Bernai, the editor-in-chief of the first of the four sections of the Conference.
