Abstract
IN current methods of vertical sounding of the ionosphere by radio waves, two relationships are usually experimentally determined, namely, (1) the value of the equivalent height of reflexion (h') as a function of radio frequency (f) ; and (2) the value of the attenuation (log ρ) as a function of frequency f. (Here ρ is the experimental value of the overall ionospheric reflexion coefficient.)
