Abstract
RANDALL1 has reported that silver chloride shows a bright blue-green fluorescence at 85° K., while Meidinger2 has described the low-temperature fluorescence of gelatin layers containing silver chloride, bromide, iodide and bromo-iodide. The latter's results were of direct photographic interest ; but the influence of gelatin and other emulsion impurities was not ascertained. In the work to be described, the silver halide specimens were studied in the absence of known impurities.
