Quantitative Chromatographic Separation and Estimation of Cadmium in Copper Alloys using Paper Strips

Abstract

Bishop and Liebmann1 have described the quantitative separation of zinc from soldering alloys by chromatography on cellulose columns followed by polarographic estimation. We employ a similar method for the determination of small amounts of cadmium in copper–cadmium alloys, except that we use paper strips of normal thickness.
