X-Ray Emission Spectrography using Ion Exchange Membranes

Abstract

THE spot-test technique of X-ray emission Spectrography1 for microgram amounts of elements has been extended to lower concentrations of metal ions by using ion-exchange resin membranes to concentrate the elements present as ions in dilute solution, and to act as a carrier for the sample in the spectrograph.
