Abstract
α-MANNOSIDASE, an enzyme previously obtained from sources such as lucerne seed1, snails2 and limpets3, has been found to be widely distributed in the body of the mouse and the rat (Table 1). On the whole, values for infant organs tended to be somewhat higher than the corresponding adult values. The figure for adult mouse uterus was drastically reduced, sometimes to zero, by ovariectomy, and was restored to the normal level by œstrone administration.
