Abstract
IN a paper1 on the determination of amylase activity in biological fluids, we suggested a temporary working ‘normal’ range of 9–35 of our units per 100 ml. of serum. This working range was derived from a study of the serum amylase activity of 101 hospital patients in whom there was no reason for suspecting an abnormal serum amylase activity.
