Role of Phage Antibodies in the Development of Non-toxigenic Cultures of Corynebacterium diphtheriae

Abstract

THAT the toxigenicity of diphtheria cultures is associated with the lysogenic state is well established. It now seems that the loss of ability ta produce toxin may be mediated by the action of antiphage serum upon lysogenic cultures.
