Effect of Metal Ions on the Development of Wheat Stem Rust

Abstract

DURING a study of the effect of benzimidazole, dimethylbenzimidazole, glucose and metal ions on the development of rust in detached leaves, certain metal ions have been noted to be extremely effective in the prevention of rust development in detached wheat leaves of both resistant and susceptible varieties.
