Abstract
THE following analysis is based on the figures given by Conrad1 which cover 358 stations in the belt 60° N.–600° S. The aim of the work was to test the validity of the statement frequently quoted that rainfall variation is much greater in the tropics than in the temperate regions. The broad result of the investigation shows that this is not strictly true.
