Hæmoglobin Content of the Larvæ of Tendipes f.l. plumosus L. from Various Levels of Bed Sediment

Abstract

IN previous work1,2 it was shown that the amount of hæmoglobin in the larvæ of Tendipes f.l. plumosus varies according to the amount of dissolved oxygen present. However, the results obtained cannot be considered to be particularly reliable since at various seasons the larvæ are at various stages of development, and this may have some effect on the hæmoglobin content.
