Abstract
IMMUNIZATION of rabbits with purified exopenicillinase of Bacillus cereus results in the appearance of antibodies which neutralize approximately 90 per cent of the activity of the enzyme1,2. The present communication describes the preparation and some of the properties of neutralization-blocking antibodies, evoked by injection of penicillinase-producing cells. Immune serum containing neutralization blocking antibodies will be referred to as ‘blocking antiserum’.
