Effect of Urea Ingestion on Parotid Salivation in Sheep

Abstract

UREA is the most common source of non-protein nitrogen used for the partial replacement of protein in the diet of ruminants. In association with readily available carbohydrate such as molasses, urea is used to supplement the low-quality roughage diets which are often consumed by ruminants in Africa, the United States and Australia.
