Amino-Acid Sequence and the Occurrence of Phosphorus in Human Fibrinopeptides

Abstract

DURING the thrombin-induced fibrinogen–fibrin transformation peptides are split off from fibrinogen1–3. The complete amino-acid sequences of the bovine fibrinopeptides have been determined4–6, as well as partial sequences and amino-acid compositions of fibrinopeptides from several other animal species7. Considerable variations have been found in the amino-acid compositions and sequences of the fibrinopeptides in different species7. Some work on human fibrinopeptides is reported here.
