Abstract
THERE have been several reports concerning effects of post-inoculation temperature on reaction type of wheat varieties to certain races of stripe rust (Puccinia striiformis West)1,2. On the other hand, there is very little information available on the effects of preinoculation host temperature. Apparently the temperature during this phase of plant growth has been held constant or has been stated to be that obtained with ordinary greenhouse conditions.
