DDT resistance in the housefly (Musca domestica L.) has been known in Australia since 1950 1. In addition, ‘Dieldrin’ resistance was recorded as early as 1956 (Shanahan and Wright, personal communication). During the past year, resistance to organic phosphate has occurred on both the east and west coasts of Australia.
