Abstract
THE presence of haptoglobin in normal urine was first suggested by Patte et al.1 and was later established by direct immuno-precipitation2. The haptoglobin found in urine gave a reaction of immunological identity with purified plasma haptoglobin. However, it could not be detected in 4 of 12 individuals whose urine was examined.
