Abstract

WHAT could well be the final expression of a fundamental, sex-determining antagonism between deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) biosynthetic pathways has found a first chemical confirmation in our recent measurements of the percentage values of the DNA/RNA ratios in the gametes of the water mould Allomyces1.
