Abstract
IN a previous paper1, we described changes in absorbancy which occur when leaves of green plants are subjected to certain alcoholic or acetonic treatments. In order to obtain further evidence as to the nature and possible significance of these changes in absorbancy, this work has been extended to a treatment of isolated chloroplast fragments.
