Lipid Peroxide in Livers of Irradiated Rats

Abstract

HORGAN et al.1 suggested that irradiation causes peroxidation of phospholipids in sites not protected by vitamin E. In pursuit of this suggestion we have examined the lipid peroxide content and the phospholipid distribution in the livers of rats after X-irradiation in vivo.
