Abstract
SINCE two-dimensional immunodiffusion was introduced as an immunological tool1,2 it has become a major method for the examination of precipitating antigen–antibody reactions. Placed on a quantitative basis3–5 it has proved a sensitive and reproducible method for the assay of antigens and antibodies6–8.
