Effect of Actinomycin D and Ethylenediamine Tetraacetic Acid on the Multiplication of a Plant Virus in Etiolated Soybean Hypocotyls

Abstract

THE recent demonstrations that actinomycin D which inhibits DNA dependent RNA synthesis1,2 does not inhibit the multiplication of RNA containing animal2 and bacterial viruses3 led us to attempt to extend such observations to plant viruses.
