Abstract
Alcaligenes faecalis type cultures N.C.T.C. 8764 and A.T.C.C. 9220 were investigated for bacteriocin production against members of the same species1 as well as a large number of Escherichia, Salmonella, Serratia, Staphylococci, Gram-positive aerobic bacilli and Proteus1. The methods used were those of Fredericq2. Organisms were grown on the Pr3 media of Ben-Gurion and Hertman3. Electrophoresis was performed as previously described4.
