Abstract
IT has been shown that guinea-pigs and other animals injected with brain and Freund's complete adjuvant produce antibodies, both of complement-fixing and agglutinating type1,2. These antibodies react with homogenates or extracts of brain and also with purified encephalitogenic agents of the basic protein type; in this study only the anti-basic protein response has been evaluated.
