Some Flow Properties of Whole Blood

Abstract

THE purpose of this communication is to outline some observations that have been made on the flow of whole blood when the material has been contained between parallel plates in relative rotation. The top plate was 7.5 cm diameter, while the bottom plate was of the ‘reservoir’ type to obviate the possibility of the material drying out at the periphery of the (narrow) gap.
