Abstract
IN the past decade, inhibitors and activators of the fibrinolytic system have undergone extensive study. The chief inhibitors are epsilon-aminocapric acid (E-ACA)1 and trans-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid (AMCHA)2. This communication compares the effect of E-ACA, AMCHA and prednisolone acetate, alone and combined with synovial fluid, oil capillary permeability measured by the diffusion of systemically injected pontamine blue according to the method of Nitta et al.3. The synovial fluid was obtained with a siliconized syringe from patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
