Abstract
DICK'S interesting comments1 on our communication2 point to the need for further work on this complex topic—a fact of which we are not unaware. Indeed, our communication was intended solely as an interim report on work in progress in order to show that too facile dismissal of fungal involvement in previously reported work was premature.
