Delayed Death in Rats treated with Cyclophosphamide

Abstract

IN a study of the therapeutic effect of cyclophosphamide on an SV 40 sarcoma in rat (ref. 1 and unpublished results of U. Stenram, E. Nilsson and R. Berg), we found that many of the treated rats died without tumour after about 2 months. This phenomenon seems to have been very little discussed in the literature, and so we began an investigation. This is our first report.
