Abstract
EVIDENCE has been presented for specific retention of oestrogens in the hypothalamus after systemic administration of radioactive oestradiol1–6. It was postulated that this was attributable to macromolecules in the hypothalamus with a large affinity for oestradiol. I now offer evidence consistent with this hypothesis.
