Verification of Radio Variability of the Galaxy PKS 0048–09

Abstract

IN a recent letter Stull1 reported observations which indicate variability in the flux density of the galaxy PKS 0048–09 at 8 GHz. As part of a programme to investigate about eighty sources exhibiting positive spectra (flux density increasing with frequency) at low frequencies, I have observed PKS 0048–09 at several frequencies over practically the same period of time as Stull.
