Abstract
IN cells about to divide, elongated structures may extend from the nucleus into the cytoplasm. The division of highly vacuolated parenchyma cells was studied by Sinnott and Bloch1,2. More recently, Bagshaw3 has studied the ultrastructural changes which accompany the preparation of such cells for division in a synchronously dividing plant tissue culture and it is with this material that the observations have been made.
