Abstract
THERE have been few attempts directly to measure the electrical activity of oviducts in vivo, although excised tissues have been studied, in continuation of earlier observations of oviductal movements or ciliary action1–4. We now wish to report direct observations of electrical activity made in twenty intact goats over periods of months. Special platinum electrodes in plastic collars were implarited surgically, with the leads passing to the exterior. We experienced no problems with infection.
