Latitudinal Extent of Late Precambrian Glaciations

Abstract

LATE Precambrian glaciations are widely recognized to have been extensively distributed (see, for example, ref. 1) but there are few quantitative data to show whether they reached low latitudes. If this can be demonstrated it will be legitimate to regard Late Precambrian tillites as stratigraphic marker horizons2.
